I hated this much less than the original animated version, although all of the changes (minus the Siamese cats) they made were for the worse. What on Earth was the reason for changing Jock into Jockuline (I'm sure I spelled it wrong; it's just Jacqueline, but with Jock) and making him into a female with a terrible Scottish accent (which is hilarious because the voice actress is Scottish)? Why do the cats have terrible hip-hop song now? Who the Hell though Janelle Monáe was good casting? The general plot is the same, but they play it a little loose with the ending. They do do a good job with the blending of CGI and real dogs, but the mouth movements look kind of bad. The story is still very boring and I still have zero reason to care about any of these animals, but a least it's more vibrant than the original. I still hate it; I just hate it a little less.
