Review:
Overboard is bland. It's not bad, the acting is fine, it's well paced, and occasionally funny. The problem is that it spends way too much time trying to be "sweet" and not enough trying to be funny. They cast Anna Faris, who can do dramatic roles, but is much better at comedic roles and never give her opportunities to funny. I watched this about a week ago and honestly forgot I had watched it. There is no individual scene that I remember. It's cliche to the point where you already know the entire movie before you press play. The only memorable thing is how stupid and unrealistic the ending is. They build and build and build and then don't give us the level of pay off we expect. I could watch Overboard again if I was with someone who wanted to see it, but I see no reason to watch it again alone.
