Transformers: The Last Knight
The plot wasn’t bad considering they tied the entire series together but how they unfolded the story, wasn’t great. The characters and acting were good enough for a Bay-Transformers movie considering the talent, i.e. and in order of performance, Hopkins, Turturro, Haddock/Wahlberg. The camera scenes, though very abrupt and brief at several times, were done justly showcasing scenes from all over the globe. The visuals though, were overdone especially on the lengthy action scenes. The music was redundant but suits the mood including one funny music scene adding to the Bay-Transformers feeling. The action sounds were great and not distracting. The production design which includes the wardrobe, location and special effects were top notch. As for the execution or editing process, I really hated it. It was too fast paced with many unnecessary scenes and was confusing at times. The action dragged a bit much, especially the ending and it got really old, really fast. If you’re the type that likes huge explosions, alien ships, battles and long action sequences with a bit of laughter on the big screen, you might just enjoy it. Otherwise, you can wait to rent this movie.
