Overview: The basis of the story is the presence of the young writer Branislav Nušić in the salon of King Milan Obrenović. Apart from depicting the situation in Serbia at the end of the 19th century, it describes Nusic’s release from prison and his request for pardon from punishment for his satirical poem.
