Just looking at the cast, I expected a hilarious Christmas themed version of 1999's Held Up. Unfortunately, it's rarely even smirk worthy and nothing else really works either. The story is overly convoluted, wildly unrealistic, and predictable. It's like three different people had half an idea for a movie and a fourth person cut and pasted bits of those ideas onto a movie script template. There are tons of real actors that are funny and can actually act, but it seems like everyone is just going through the motions. It's really disappointing. This is nothing like Held Up, aside from the location. There are so many pointless B and C plots and the main line has too many unnecessary elements. The right pieces are there, but the messed everything up.
