Review:
If you are looking to kill 2 hours and want to escape the world and immerse yourself in a dystopian future world where cities are mobile and consume each other for survival then this flick may be a good distraction. It is not perfect, there are holes in the plot but when the movie entertains like this one does with really cool visuals and a fast moving story line with characters that at first are pesky as flies but later on, you find yourself rooting for them, then this is a welcome alternative compared to the troves of garbage action films that peppers the cinema. Switch off your brain, get your popcorn and soda and sit back and enjoy the ride that is Mortal Engines. It’s gonna be a bumpy ride.
