About me:
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle
Worth watching for Jack Black's performance as a high-school "it girl" trapped in a body of.. well, Jack Black's body. Some lame aspects (such as the villain) but they are outweighed by the humour. I won a bet with myself that the closing credits would roll on GnR's title song.

I knew this was going to be a poor film, but I figured it might be entertaining along the lines of Flightplan or Non Stop, etc. And I love trains, so I figured it wouldn't be all that bad. Right? Well, alas, the problem is that the characters are so one-dimensional that I felt insulted just watching them on the screen. The plot is pretty awful too. Not to mention Neeson's very odd make-up job. Go watch Source Code again instead.

One of the best concert films of all times. Even if you don't know much about Talking Heads or their music you'll be hooked within 2 minutes. Guaranteed!

An underrated film, I think. Worth watching for the acting by Binoche and Stewart and their chemistry together. Some memorable cinematography too.

I was a bit disappointed but if you curb your expectations perhaps you'll like it more than I did. Some parts good. Others (like Kumail's stand up bit on Pakistan) didn't work at all for me (this bit in particular reminded me of Jason Segal's dracula thing in Forgetting Sarah Marshall - another Apatow production but better imo). It definitely felt a bit too forced - by trying too hard to make a heartfelt true story romance it came across as phony at times. Having said that, not sorry I saw it. I prefer the films that it takes after - Knocked Up, etc.

I think Veep is one of the funniest and under-appreciated shows around at the moment. You don't have to enjoy political satire to like it. Only complaint is that it's a bit too mean-spirited and cynical to watch often - small doses are great tho!

Just finished watching this on Netflix (it's sometimes called Oh My Ghost). Not perfect - some overacting and a couple of cheesy characters in it - but overall I thought that it was well worth watching. Often light and romantic but most episodes have aspects with surprising depth and emotional impact. Love the food/restaurant setting and themes of life/death and finding meaning in them.
