The Emoji Movie

The main character is Gene, the who is hoping to take over his parents' spot as the "Meh" emoji. "Meh" is clearly the bar Sony was aiming for. 80% eye scorching product placement, 15% terrible dad joke puns, 5% random ham-fisted SJW bull shoe-horned in at random and inappropriate times. I'm not sure Sony was planning on making any money from ticket sales, since they went full-on in product placement. Sick and saccharine. This movie isn't absolutely terrible, but it is offensively "Meh".
